keyword density is bad practice

As an article writer, You heard that you must require keyword density and it can be upto 8% in you article. I would like to say that its not require with proofs.

1- You don’t need to follow Keyword density tool to check, there is much better way to check how GOOGLE will index your page. You can check this by placing an AdSense in different parts of an article and you can see what kind of ads will show you.

2- There is another way to approve keyword density is bad practice, it is simple math calculation. Mostly one article have 600 worlds, now you are targeting a keyword which is mostly group of 3 words. How many groups of 3 words can be in 600 words article? 600 / 3= 200.

Now lets see how much keyword density is there if we apply 8% from 200. (200 % 8): 16. It means that you have to use approx 1 of 4 or 5 sentences contains those 3 words. I personally don’t think you can achieve it, in a way that will not disturb the reader or really hard to provide good article.

So in my opinion, don’t pay attention to keyword density. You should write articles for human/reader and also target your keywords especially in starting and closing paragraph.

While getting 8% keyword density might not be appropriate, google has made all of us re think about our SEO strategies. Google loves content and dislikes sites that try to come up in rankings by unfair means (keyword stuffing ?).

Content is both the meta and the body text. While google does not give a lot of emphasis on meta (and may be none), it would really like to find out from the document body on what the underlying theme of the article is. A slightly higher frequency of the targeted keywords should certainly help, specially if they are in sync with the meta and title, and highlighted accordingly.

I definitely agree with this blog post. We have many clients that try to request even up to 10% keyword density. Bad practice indeed!!!! It is better to follow LSI principles.
    Thanks for your post.
